AkkuFresh does not fit my mobile phone battery, what can I do?

The size of AkkuFresh can be reduced (with scissors) to adjust it to the available surface, if necessary. Also, you can attach the foil around the battery. For greater efficiency, adjust AkkuFresh to cover 80% of the battery on one side. Use more pieces of AkkuFresh for larger batteries.
In other words, AkkuFresh can be trimmed with scissors to adjust its size to the battery.

AkkuFresh generates negative ions, what does that mean?

Air purifiers are commonly known as negative ions (- ion) producers. These negative ions are dispersed into the air in a room, where they interact with airborne pollutants. They then filter particles out of the air we breathe, while destroying some of the airborne microorganisms in the environment. High DC voltage (over 1,000 V), especially when connected to pointed metal edges or needles, will produce ions of the same polarity as the voltage source. This is the underlying mechanism of home ionizers.

In nature, negative ions are generated by phenomena such as sunlight, lightning, ocean waves, cosmic rays (high-energy protons) and by  waterfalls. In fact, negative ions usually come from natural earth radioactivity and evaporating water. Lightning, thunderstorms, and forest fires can produce positive and negative ions, but these ions do not occur under everyday circumstances. Normal fair-weather ion concentrations vary between 200 to 800 negative and 250 to 1,500 positive ions per cubic centimeter. Indoor levels are usually lower. Several hours before a storm,, positive ion concentration will increase drastically, sometimes exceeding 5,000 ions per cubic centimeter. During a storm, the concentration of negative ions increases to several thousand while that of positive ions decreases, often to below 500.

In the center of an atom is the nucleus. The nucleus contains protons (+) and neutrons and is surrounded by electrons (-). Atoms usually have the same number of electrons as protons. These electrons are, however, constantly spinning around the atom and swapping places with the electrons of surrounding atoms. Atoms that have gained electrons from other atoms (negatively charged) form Negative Ions and those that have lost electrons form Positive Ions.

 

The generation of negative ions is commonly divided into the following three types:

  • Lenard's effect, 1892 (i.e. a electrical effects associated with drop break-up near waterfalls): Lenard found that when water is atomized, negative and positive charges are separated. When hitting rocks, water is broken into small particles, carrying a negative charge into the atmosphere. This is why there are many negative ions near waterfalls, water fountains, etc...
  • electrically-generated negative ions: lightning, corona discharge, ionizers or air purifiers, etc...
  • mineral ores that are abundant in thermal regions and sources: negative ions are generated when small amounts of radiation react with water particles in the atmosphere.

In a battery's electric mechanism, negative ions are ions that carry a negative electrical charge. Negative ions get their negative charge by gaining electrons (negatively charged particles) in a chemical reaction. Negative ions are also called anions.

In a battery, the negative ions are found at the negative pole of the battery, also called an anode. Electrons are transferred through the electrolyte inside the battery by the positive ions, which take them from the anode to the cathode (or positive pole).

As explained in the Technology Overview section, AkkuFresh generates negative ions because of the nanoceramic material (ion-Power) it contains and because AkkuFresh is attached to (or is close to) the rechargeable battery, there is a reaction generated by contact.

 

Can AkkuFresh cancel my device warranty?

No, AkkuFresh is a passive product (without any electric or electronic parts), simply installed inside the device under the battery and can be removed anytime without any problem. AkkuFresh does not interact with the device functions and electronic parts, there is no device modification.

Can I use AkkuFresh with a brand new battery?

Yes, the battery will be able to maintain its full capacity and battery life for a longer period of time. Ideally, use AkkuFresh with a 3-6-month-old (or older) battery. In this situation, you will notice a more spectacular improvement in battery life.

Could I remove and reinstall AkkuFresh from one device to another?

Yes. AkkuFresh is reusable and compatible with any portable device! You can use the foil as many times as you want. You just have to protect the gummed surface of the foil to maintain the adhesive effect. Make sure you do not crack or damage the foil material. If that happens, it is better to purchase a new sticker and re-install it.

How could I test the effects of AkkuFresh myself?

NOTE: It is very important to understand that AkkuFresh is not designed to extend the battery life of a brand new battery. AkkuFresh revitalizes the battery and helps to recover the original performance and to maintain maximum capacity. In addition, it reduces charging time and extends the life span of a battery. To avoid a placebo effect, we highly recommend the usage of a spare mobile phone, during the test period. That is to say, in order to perform the best test results and get an accurate measurement, the device is not to be used as your everyday item! Please maintain identical conditions throughout the testing period. For quick test results use an old battery.

• Make a note of the original performance of your device (in standby time) and bear in mind that you must not use the phone during the testing period (leave it in standby mode).
• Charge your battery fully and make a note of the date and time right then. 
• Don’t charge the battery, and note on the Independent test sheet the date and period of time over which it loses power.
• Then, attach the AkkuFresh foil to your mobile phone, laptop, PDA or digital camera battery. It must cover 80% of the battery’s biggest side. Use more pieces of AkkuFresh for larger batteries.
• Fill in the test sheet details of the time and date of when the AkkuFresh - Power Extender was applied.
• Leave the AkkuFresh pad on your battery all along, recharge the battery fully after it lost power.
• Then note down the date and time of the last, i.e. the 10th, recharging cycle.
• Use the device in standby mode, don’t charge the battery, and note down on the Independent test sheet the date and time when it loses power.
• Sign the test sheet.
• Send it back via e-mail or fax, or give us a ring and we can pick up the completed test sheet.

How do I install AkkuFresh in my mobile phone?

• Turn off the device.
• Remove the battery.
• You can remove the protecting film fully or partly.
• Place or attach the AkkuFresh foil directly either on the device or the battery.
• Re-install the battery.
• Turn on the device.

• Do not cover the electrical contacts on the device or the battery
• For greater efficiency, adjust AkkuFresh to cover 80% of the battery on one side. Use more pieces of AkkuFresh for larger batteries.

Is AkkuFresh able to fix or repair defective or dead batteries?

No, the battery’s internal chemical processes cannot be re-activated. Never use AkkuFresh with or attach it to a defective battery.
Very old batteries can be slightly re-activated by applying AkkuFresh, but it is rare.

Is there a difference between the effects of AkkuFresh on battery life depending on which batteries and devices are used?

Batteries differ according to brands, models, technology and age. They contain different chemical materials, have distinct electrical characteristics and technologies. Furthermore, there are differences according to capacity and lifetime among batteries.
Batteries are also different in their status (total amount of charge-discharge cycles), production time, age, etc...
Devices vary with respect to brands, models, dates of production, etc... They use different technologies and require various amounts of power to work. For a mobile phone, the cellular network used is also a factor depending on geographical location and on how well the mobile phone transmits power. The external temperature is yet another factor as if the temperature is low, battery life will be reduced.

What amount of the surface of AkkuFresh must be in contact with the battery?

What are AkkuFresh's undesirable effects?

There are no undesirable effects. AkkuFresh is totally safe for the user, the mobile phone and the battery.
There are no effects on the cellular signal and reception either.

What happens if I install two AkkuFresh foils to enhance performance, one on each side of the battery or one on top of the other?

Battery life is increased more than with only one foil but only to a very small extent. One AkkuFresh foil is enough to achieve efficient battery life improvement and good results.

What is the life span of AkkuFresh?

AkkuFresh works well with any mobile phone brand, model, type of battery and cellular network (GSM, CDMA,...) or system (analog or digital).
The product has been evaluated and documented by several universities, independent laboratories, technology web sites and professionals.
AkkuFresh has been tested with different mobile phone brands and type of batteries: Li-Ion, Li-Po, Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh.

Why don't battery manufacturers include AkkuFresh's technology in their products?

Because, at the moment, the integration process and material costs may unfavorably affect consumer price, but discussions with mobile phone, computer and battery manufacturers are in process. Actually, several manufacturers and European cellular operators are currently supplying  AkkuFresh as an accessory to their products (Vodafone, Pannon GSM, T-Mobile).

Why shouldn’t I just buy a cheap replacement battery instead of AkkuFresh?

AkkuFresh should be seen as an addition not a replacement to a battery as it maintains and extends battery life for new and old batteries. It is preferable to get extended use out of the original manufacturer’s battery rather than replace it with a cheaper non-branded battery or a reconditioned one. AkkuFresh is reusable and compatible with any portable device! You can use the foil as many times as you want. You just have to protect the gummed surface of the foil to maintain the adhesive effect.
